Always reblog this. A lot of the animals they kill (and they kill over 95% of the animals they take in at their Virginia Headquarters) are killed within 24 hours. Not nearly enough time to deem whether an animal is adoptable or not. They even bought a giant fridge to store the corpses!
PETA is a corporation. Not a charity. Less than 1% of their 32 Million+ annual budget actually goes to directly helping animals. Most of it is spent making sexist/racist/ domestic abuse supporting commercials that won’t even air on television, giving bail outs to convicted arsonists and criminals, hiring/supporting any celebrity that claims to be vegetarian for five minutes, creating campaigns to target children (“Your mom kills animals”), fruitless lawsuits like suing Sea World for violating the constitution, and most recently, making porn. I’m not against porn, but I fail to see how it fucking helps animals.
PETA does not give a shit about animals.
Plus, these assholes have the gall to insult Steve Irwin.
This appears to be true upon further investigation. I don’t have words for the contempt I feel for the hypocrites right now.

How I imagine Alec’s first day went.
So there I was in Reykjavik, walking to work for the first time. I had heard about the racial tensions there, but I had yet to see any monsters or robots. Rumor had it that the monsters and the robots hated each other with a passion, so much so that to walk around outside might be foolish, but seeing as how I was neither robot nor monster, nor did I have another way to get to work, I decided to risk it.
Aside from a stray puffin or two, I was alone as I walked. I could see people staring at me through their windows as I walked through the streets, peering around their curtains, their faces slightly distorted by the glass. I pretended not to notice the fear on their faces, deciding to instead focus on making a good impression at my new job.
The scenery around me changed a little. The buildings were getting bigger, the doorways easily ten feet high. The houses had piles of bones
I don’t like the way the little icons look on Tumblr now. They look like they’re for third graders or something. Obviously I’ll get used to them, but god damn it, Tumblr, you don’t have to fix what’s not broken. Next time, instead of changing little things that don’t matter, maybe try getting another server or something. You know, so your servers aren’t ALWAYS over capacity. Just a suggestion.
